WHALE CELEBRATES INCREASED DEMAND AT CV SHOW
Whale Tankers celebrates its return to the CV Show following unprecedented demand for its semi-trailer tankers. Whale, the specialist manufacturer to the waste and cleaning industries have taken in excess of 40 firm orders for both frameless and framed tipping semi trailer tankers this year alone.
As Managing Director, Mark Warmington states: “ We have never had so many semi trailers in production at one time. I’m sure it’s the result of our continued investment and innovation over the last few years, its also rewarding that the orders we have taken cover a range of customers as well as the products”.
It is not surprising then, to discover that Whale have chosen to exhibit a stainless steel tri-axle tipping trailer built to transport hazardous waste. The tanker is the first in a multiple order for six identical ADR tankers that during the next 18 months will join the fleet of Taylors Industrial Services of Aberdeen – one of the largest family-owned waste management companies in Scotland.
Whale is pleased to be returning to the CV Show, and in addition Whale is offering its customary park and ride service to the exhibition. Visitors have a chance to see the company’s facilities and in turn its wide range of vehicles in build from Vacuum Tankers right through to KaiserWhales
As Whale Tankers’ Commercial Director, Chris Anderson states: “We welcome the return of the CV Show. Whale have enjoyed a great association with the exhibition and its organisers in the past, it will serve as the perfect promotional platform from which to demonstrate Whale’s success in the field of product development and innovation, in particular that which has taken place in the intervening years. Many of our products now include a host of new features, particularly with regard to operator safety and automated electronic controls and we will be keen to demonstrate these features at the show.”
He added: “We are particularly pleased to be exhibiting the ADR Tanker that has been ordered by Taylors, as it should be a real crowd puller.”
Manufactured to ADR Class 3, 6.1 and 8 specifications and with the capacity to transport hazardous waste, the 44-tonne GVW unit with tri-axle running gear will be joining Taylors’ 40-strong tanker fleet.
Specified as part of Taylors’ drive to deliver an ever-expanding service they have invested in a highly developed purpose built tanker which is Constructed from 316-grade stainless steel, the ADR tanker’s specification includes:
