Whale Enterprise PVT Limited, a subsidiary of Whale Tankers Limited, has entered into a new distributorship partnership with Stock Sweepers Limited, which will operate across the Indian sub continent.

The long term arrangement makes Whale an exclusive distributor for Stock Sweepers’ road sweeping equipment and parts as well as providing service support in the region, including India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar.
Jeff Stock, Managing Director of Stock Sweepers, said: “We are thrilled to have entered into this agreement with Whale, who we have known for many years. We enjoy a large amount of similarities in our businesses and areas of operation, as well as having shared values in areas such as quality of product and customer support.

“An important part of the process was for us to go to India to see the Whale site and operations and visit customers. We met with the sales and management team there and we were very impressed with what we saw and heard, in particular the knowledge and expertise of their team. We were there for more than a week and throughout the visit it became increasingly apparent that working with Whale was going to be an excellent fit for us. We look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”

Mark Warmington, Managing Director for Whale, said: “It was great to be able to host Jeff and his team while they were in India and we look forward to developing sales opportunities and providing service support to Stock Sweepers’ products across the different regions within the Indian sub continent.”

Anees Ahmed, Business Development Manager for Whale Enterprise, added: “This is an exciting opportunity for Whale and Stock Sweepers to work together to develop and support our customer base in these areas. We believe the close similarities and synergies between our companies will result in an excellent working partnership moving forward.”

Whale Enterprise Director Shajahan Hussain, who has been with Whale for ten years and involved with Whale Enterprise since it was established six years ago, said: “We are looking forward to launching the first StockWhale Sweepers in India.

“The Stock Sweepers and Whale partnership will go a long way to benefitting India. It is a perfect time for the partnership to enable road sweepers to lend a helping hand in the Indian Government’s campaign for Swachh Bharat.” (translation from Hindi means ‘Clean India’).

Stock Sweepers was founded in 1998 and is a family owned and run business originally created to recondition and remount used road sweeping equipment, specifically for the company’s own dedicated hire fleet. In 2009 the company launched its own road sweeper products, the S6400 and S84000, which are available in many countries around the globe.
