Solihull company Whale Tankers has just seen 22 year old David Rose become its latest employee to successfully gain an Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering.
David becomes the sixth Whale employee in four years to achieve the accolade – a sought after qualification amongst leading engineering companies.
It also further underlines Whale’s commitment to having its fitters, welders and engineers at the forefront of engineering practices.

David, from Birmingham, re-iterates Whale’s philosophy of training its staff within the workplace and says that by gaining his apprenticeship, which he started in 2004, he has hugely broadened his career chances.
He says: “I had no training when I first joined Whale, but after three years I’ve got a great qualification on my CV that will help me achive my goals. Now I have specialised in our service department and I can now look to further my skills into tank testing and maybe even crane driving”
