Whale will be highlighting its diverse product range at this year’s CV Show by having one of its latest vehicles, which has been developed specifically for use in the Australasia region, available to view on its stand number 5C110.
The 23 tonne Whale Hydro Excavation unit has been designed and built by the Solihull based company to meet all Australian design and type approval regulations.
Enquip contacted Whale, as it had previous experience of using their products as part of its operations. The requirement was for a bespoke vehicle that was not currently available as standard on the open market. Following fact finding visits to Australia to observe and ascertain the exact needs of the customer’s operation first hand, a unique tailored machine was designed and developed to suit Enquip’s hydro excavation activities, including complicity with specific axle weight restrictions.
The new bespoke combination vehicle has a stainless steel tank, including a clean water and debris compartment which has been constructed to Australian pressure standard AS 1210 – 2010. It is fitted with a high performance PVT 400 blower and an ORCA 400 high pressure triplex pump rated at 4000 PSI. It is also fitted with a Molex Hi-Lift 150mm loading boom and has a full length folding catwalk to the offside.
Heath Keenan, Managing Director of Enquip PTY Ltd, said: “The customer expectation in Australia is similar to that in the UK and we were already familiar with the quality of Whale’s products.
“The Whale investment in R & D ensures we have a vehicle built to meet our exact needs rather than being standard and mass produced. They understand the necessary service, support and maintenance requirements and both Enquip and Whale are fully committed to supporting these vehicles in the field.”
Chris Anderson, Commercial Director of Whale Tankers, said: “It is exciting to be showcasing this very special, bespoke vehicle at the CV Show before it departs our shores to begin its work in Australia.
“The unit truly emonstrates our expertise and flexibility in the development of bespoke tankers such as this for very specific needs in an overseas market and we’re confident it will generate a lot of interest at this year’s CV Show.”
Enquip is an equipment leasing, servicing and spare parts company committed to supporting vehicles in the Australian waste market.
