Whale Tankers has secured an order in excess of £2m with GE TIP Tanker Services, one of the UK’s largest tanker hire fleets. The order includes a total of 29 vehicles and has contributed to an all time record sales month in August for Whale totalling £5.5m.
The order, comprises of 4 Medium Volume Combination (MVC) GullyWhales, 3 KiloWhale Jet/Vac Tankers, 18 Vacuum Tankers and 4 Kaiser-Whale Water Recyclers.
The four Kaiser-Whale Recyclers have been ordered to meet a growing demand to recycle dirty water and to increase the time spent on site for jetting and sewer maintenance operations. Eliminating the travel time to draw fresh water, means that all labour and running costs are restricted to the job in hand. All 29 vehicles will join the GE hire fleet, which operates, out of two locations – primarily from Coalville in Leicestershire and Knottingley in West Yorkshire.
The new vehicles will be supplied on a mix of Scania and MAN chassis.

These new vacuum tankers are part of our expansion within the already extensive rental fleet.”
Whale’s Regional Sales Director, Richard Booth, commented: “We are an established supplier of vacuum tankers to GE and their current fleet of Whale tankers now stands at over 140. We are particularly delighted to be able to supply four of our Kaiser-Whale Water Recyclers as part of this substantial order from GE – who are one of the key players in the UK tanker rental market.”

They are fully certified and plated to comply with the European Pressure Equipment Directive 97/23 EC, giving the operator the comfort that he is working in full compliance of all current legal requirements.”
