Whale Tankers, the leading liquid waste tanker and jetting equipment manufacturer, has been marking one of its longest standing business relationships at the recent CV (Commercial Vehicle) show.
The company has been supplying a wide range of vehicles to TIP Tanker Services for more than 20 years and recently showcased the latest addition to the TIP tanker fleet, the Whale MVC (Medium Volume Combination) at the CV show which features a number of new and innovative options, including Whale’s ESN (Emissions, Smell and Noise) Environmental Package. This vehicle will also be on display at Tank-ex in Harrogate from 29-30 May 2014. In addition to this latest purchase, Whale Tankers is currently supplying a further range of new vehicles to TIP including MVCs, KiloWhales and 4400 gallon Vac Tanks.
The Whale vehicles are used by TIP as part of its national hire service to organisations such as private and public sector operators requiring specialised tanker equipment for a range of different applications, including mainline sewers, gullies and drains. Rental periods can be anything from one day up to ten years, depending upon the project and individual requirements.
Mark Crossland, Managing Director for TIP Tanker Services, said: “We’ve been working with Whale Tankers for many years now and have always liked their innovative approach to vehicle design and development. We have a large number of Whale Tankers within our national fleet.
“Our most recent purchase is the Whale MVC, a multi-functional machine which is built on a Euro 6 Daf FAFL55-220 18 tonne GVW and has been fitted with Whale’s new ESN Environmental Package. We believe his makes it one of the ‘greenest’ vehicles of its type on the road today and will offer our customers a flexible option with excellent performance, environmental and health and safety.”
Mark Warmington, Managing Director of Whale Tankers, added: “Our team of engineers has worked with the team at TIP to ‘fully load’ this MVC and with the combined features and benefits of the Environmental Package on the vehicle, this will reduce any adverse impact on the environment while in operation.
“We look forward to working with TIP for many more years to come and to developing our mutually beneficial relationship further with new and innovative vehicle design.”
